After obtaining a qualification in cabinetmaking, Julien joined the international
violin school of Newark in the United Kingdom in 2006.
The Rowan Armor Brown Trust encourages his efforts during his apprenticeship by rewarding him with two internships, one with Marc Soubeyran, the other with Tony Padday, of which he will become assistant for one year after graduation in 2010.
From 2011 to 2015, Julien joined the Florian Leonhard Fine Violins workshop in London where he perfected his restoration techniques as well as his skills in
In 2017, he opened his workshop in the Compiègnois where he devoted himself to the restoration and manufacture of quartet instruments.
